April 25th, 2011 by | Share Blog

shawn_rabideau_eventsIt’s so gratifying when our planners and clients are happy with the work we do.  In this case, Shawn Rabideau Events and Designs wrote a wonderfully detailed and colorful blog post about a 40th birthday party that they planned and our photographer, Jesse, photographed.  Thank you, Shawn, for your consistent support!  You and your team always inspire us to be the best we can be.

Headshot_by_5th_avenue_digitalToday, I am so excited to show you a 40th birthday celebration for one of our ultra-fabulous clients Sam! From the very beginning of the planning process to the very end, we had so much fun with Sam and we know that she will be a friend for life! She is such a hard working, caring, and sincere woman who deserved the party of a lifetime! She is an inspiration to us all here at Shawn Rabideau Events & Design and we hope that you enjoy these photos of her birthday bash! Read the rest of this entry »

Wedding Photography to Avoid

April 7th, 2011 by | Share Blog

5th_avenue_digital_wedding_photographyWith wedding photography, as with many things in life, it’s just as important to know what NOT to shoot, as it is to know what should be photographed.  Below are a few examples, courtesy of The Huffington Post, which hilariously illustrate the type of photography you DON’T want on your wedding day.

Every wedding shoot will have a few “not meant for prime time” photos.  Here at 5th Avenue Digital, we carefully review your images and edit those shots that, like the ones below, shouldn’t be seen, and any that are just plain unflattering.  Then we color-correct the good shots, so your final web gallery and DVD of images have hundreds of excellent shots you’ll love and use.

This way, your awful shots won’t even be seen – and won’t end up on some random website for all to laugh at.  But that doesn’t mean we can’t have some fun with these unfortunate photos!
