Green Screen Success

July 23rd, 2012 by | Share Blog

5th Avenue Digital’s green screen photography is more popular than ever!  We’ve seen lots of different ways green screen photography is used, and some ways are more effective than others.  A top tip we give our clients is to use a background image people can interact with.  That makes for the most fun photos.  We recently provided green screen photography for a Spiderman movie screening sponsored by Goldman Sachs, which illustrates this beautifully.  Check it out!

Green Screen Photography Takes Consumer Marketing Around the World

July 2nd, 2012 by | Share Blog

Event Marketing for Hotel.com's BedadventureWhen the event marketing pros at Eventstyle needed green screen photography for their client, Hotels.com, they turned to 5th Avenue Digital to make it happen.  The event they produced is an ideal example of consumer event marketing at its best.

To promote Hotels.com’s connections with hotel properties around the world, Eventstyle created a Bedventure in the heart of New York City.  They set up a giant bed next to the Flatiron Building, where people on the street could have their photos taken with their choice of international locations as the background.  That’s the magic of green screen photography!

Extending the consumer outreach even further, the event included 5th Avenue Digital’s exclusive Social Media Portals, which allowed everyone who had their photo taken to immediately email it, or post it on Facebook and Twitter.  The Social Media Portal is our Special Sauce that turns standard event photography into marketing mojo.  All those photos will now be sent, posted and tweeted around the globe, taking exposure for the Hotels.com logo and marketing message to new heights.

Perhaps the age-old admonition not to jump on the bed had an effect: many people at the Bedventure had a blast doing just that!  Take a look:

Green Screen Photography is a Perfect Fit for a Fit Pregnancy Magazine Event

May 21st, 2012 by | Share Blog

5th avenue digital event photographyThe savvy marketing team at Fit Pregnancy recently asked us to provide green screen photography for a major event they co-sponsored with Big City Moms.com, called The Biggest Baby Shower.  Hundreds of Manhattan moms gathered at The Metropolitan Pavilion to test out, touch, feel and get educated on everything they might possibly need for their growing families.

To cap it all off, the event got a big PR shout-out by Pix 11 News anchor Frances Rivera, who covered the event, then announced her own pregnancy on air when she filed her report. Her Fit Pregnancy “cover photo” was featured on the news segment – along with a shot of our fabulous photographer, Jen DelCastillo!

Smurfs light up the Green Screen..and the Big Apple!

July 28th, 2011 by | Share Blog

5th avenue digitalAs some of you may know from our previous post – or may have seen in the news – this week was declared Smurf Week in New York City, tying in with the new Smurf movie that features locations in and around the city.  Most of the activities have been organized by NYC & Company, which turned to us to provide green screen photography at their big launch event on Monday, July 25th at Columbus Circle.

Judging by the crowds and the photos, the event was a huge success.  Our photographer, Stavros, said he felt like Santa at Macy’s right before Christmas, with the hoards of people waiting for their turn in front of the green screen.  Stavros reports that the line wound from the tent in Columbus Circle into Central Park.  Hundreds of people waited in the rain to get their photos taken.

It’s clear to see why they waited.  The photos are adorable!  Yet despite the rain and crowds, the event was well organized so everything ran smoothly.  People were friendly and patient, and they loved the photos, T-shirts and other fun swag given away in the tent.  Kudos to NYC & Company for producing another stellar city event! Promoting Britain with Photo Sharing

March 21st, 2011 by | Share Blog

fouth_wall_events We’ve been talking about photo sharing, and how it’s becoming a more crucial element of corporate events.   This fact was illustrated yet again with a recent event produced by Fourth Wall Events.

First, it’s worth mentioning how much we love working with the Fourth Wall Events, one of New York’s most innovative event producers.  They always insert some kind of twist into what they do, adding details that make you stop and say, “Wow, that’s cool!”  For example, on their website they provide an event space calculator that helps you figure out how many people will fit in your space, or how much space you need to fit a certain number of people.  Check it out here!
