There Are Group Photos and There Are BIG Group Photos

Photographing large groups always poses a challenge.  What seems so simple – just line up everyone and snap the shot, right? – actually involves quite a bit of preparation and coordination to get the shot right.  You need to make sure the perspective is right so everyone is in the shot and every face is visible; that the lighting is correct and there are no heavy shadows falling on faces; that everyone is looking at the camera at the same time.  These are just a few of the considerations that are involved with a large group photo.
