Photography for a Marriage of Color and LocationApril 16th, 2012 by Beth Baynum | Share Blog
Playing off on Bridgewaters’ iconic New York location in the South Street Seaport area, Shawn paired the wedding couple’s signature colors of Spring Green, Dove Grey and Bright Orange with original artwork of the city’s landmark sites to create an impressively cohesive décor that everyone will remember.
Shawn Rabideau is a master of the details, and at this wedding those distinctive elements were used in unique ways to create an elegant and personal wedding style. The photos tell the story, and they may give you some ideas of your own! Best of 2011: New York City Engagement PhotosMarch 25th, 2012 by Elizabeth Beskin | Share Blog
Some engagement stories just draw you right in. Like the one where the smitten boyfriend rents out the entire Rockefeller Center ice skating rink so it’s private when he gets on bended knee. And the proposal where the entire family is secretly gathered to share in the celebration right after she said yes. Every engagement scenario is special and unique. We feel honored when we’re allowed to document the visceral energy that glows from a newly-engaged couple. Wedding Photography to AvoidApril 7th, 2011 by Beth Baynum | Share Blog
Every wedding shoot will have a few “not meant for prime time” photos. Here at 5th Avenue Digital, we carefully review your images and edit those shots that, like the ones below, shouldn’t be seen, and any that are just plain unflattering. Then we color-correct the good shots, so your final web gallery and DVD of images have hundreds of excellent shots you’ll love and use. This way, your awful shots won’t even be seen – and won’t end up on some random website for all to laugh at. But that doesn’t mean we can’t have some fun with these unfortunate photos! |

Who Knew our YouBooth, Photo Booth is Such a Fun Factory??June 23rd, 2010 by Beth Baynum | Share Blog
The second surprise and real delight was seeing our YouBooth in action. We tested our new photo booth extensively during its development, so I’ve seen what it can do. We’ve already contracted YouBooth for a number of events, and I’ve seen the photos and videos from those events. But that’s nothing like witnessing for myself how people interact with YouBooth! Seeing YouBooth at an actual event really opened my eyes to its entertainment value. Pets Steal the Show, and the Event Photographs!June 14th, 2010 by Elizabeth Beskin | Share Blog
Organized by CCK Global Events, in partnership with the American Pet Products Association, the NYC Pet Show was created to address the needs and interests of city-dwelling pet owners. With appearances by the Dog Whisperer, Cesar Millan, and other pet-centric celebrities, plus presentations from industry experts on topics such as where to travel with your pet this summer, the show featured products and services to help enhance owner/pet relationships. Because this was the first year for the NYC Pet Show, CCK Global Events, a full-service event sales, production and marketing company, decided it was important to document the presentations, exhibitors and attendees with event photography. 5th Avenue Digital photographers were on hand both days to capture all the unpredictable antics that animals create – especially pets with their fanatical owners.
